Rocheport - Election Update Information

3/21/2025

The city of Rocheport will hold a special election on May 6th following a miscommunication between the City and the Boone County Clerk's Office that canceled the city's April 8th municipal election.

Rocheport Special Municipal Election

On May 6, 2025, the city of Rocheport is holding an election for Mayor and Alderman for Wards 1 and 2. This election is in addition to the April 8, 2025 General Municipal election. Sample ballots and polling place assignments for the April election are available online now.

For the May 6th election, the polling place for all Rocheport voters is Rocheport Community Hall, 503 Third St, which will be open from 6am to 7pm on May 6.

Excused Absentee Voting

If you can't make it to your polling place on May 6th because you'll be out-of-town, work as a health care worker, first responder, or poll worker, or you have an illness or physical disability, you can vote by absentee ballot. Vote in person in the Boone County Clerk's Office between March 25 and May 5 with your photo ID or request a mailed absentee ballot by April 23 at 5pm by applying online or downloading an application.

No Excuse Absentee Voting

No-excuse absentee voting is when any registered Boone County voter can cast a ballot in person just like on Election Day. From April 22 through May 5, you can vote at the Boone County Clerk's Office between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
